After drinking dark beverages or eating brightly colored foods, like blueberry smoothies, coffee and red wine, always rinse the teeth with water to remove the stains.

The baking soda can remove stains on everything, and the teeth are no exception. Adding baking soda into your normal oral care routine for one week can bring about a noticeable change in color of the teeth in one week. Apply toothpaste on the brush and then dip it in baking soda solution or sprinkle little dry baking soda on it. Discontinue the use after one week as baking soda can break down tooth enamel.
Gently massage the gums and teeth with coconut, mustard or coconut oil, by taking few drops on the palm and rubbing it with fingers for 5-10 minutes. A little table salt could also be added to oil. Then brush the teeth. It whitens the teeth and keeps the gums pink and health. This process could be followed daily unlike the baking soda.
The strawberries too have a whitening effect on the teeth, due to the presence of natural malic acid in it. It naturally removes the stains. The Vitamin C in strawberries removes the plaque.
The coconut oil combats tooth decay and drastically improves the overall health of the mouth. It can effectively destroy the deadly infection causing yeast known as "candida albicans". On account of natural antibacterial and antimicrobial properties and the presence of high lauric acid content, the coconut oil could be the best tooth cleanser.
Prepare the paste of baking soda with coconut oil and use it as a substitute of toothpaste. The former will gently cleanse the teeth, while the antibacterial action of the latter destroys the harmful bacteria.
